Meet Arun Harnal, The Bombay Brasserie’s Director of Operations, a Taj family member for over three decades, more than two of which have been with The Bombay Brasserie.

On graduating from the prestigious Hotel Management College in Delhi, Arun began his career at the famed Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Mumbai, where he managed the members’ only club, The Chambers, and the Rooftop Restaurant. His work done in Mumbai, he moved on to the Taj in Bangalore, taking on the responsibility for setting up the entire food and beverage department.

In his capacity as Manager and then General Manager of The Bombay Brasserie, he has seen the restaurant grow and evolve, and has nurtured it along its way very much like he would a child.

His outstanding work has been recognised with the Best in Britain Awards’ Front of House trophy.

From personally overseeing Anthony Hopkins’ 60th birthday celebrations, to welcoming everyone from Prince Charles to Tom Cruise, Arun has been – and continues to be – the efficient, warm and smiling face of The Bombay Brasserie.
